Hart High School administrators and staff are planning the rest of the school week after principal Troy Moran died unexpectedly over the weekend.

Hart Community Remembers “Guiding Light” Principal Moran
Principal Troy Moran was just 46 years old and passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. Hart Public School Superintendent Mark Platt says Moran had gone out on a run and had a heart attack. The district is deeply mourning the loss of their principal.
Moran served as the Hart High School principal since 2021. On Sunday, a porch light vigil was held as a symbolic gesture that Principal Moran’s Guiding Light will live on in the community’s hearts. Moran leaves behind two daughters.
People remember Principal Moran for his ability to unite people and connect with kids. Hart High School has counseling available for staff and students. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced tomorrow.
